Win City (7 - 0) Bournemouth Poppies

Wow, City 7 - 0 Poppies, Taz Roberts opened the scoring with a low drive into the corner, Then Sam Wilson got two quick goals bursting through and beating the keeper, Zach Glasspool scored the forth, and hit one over the bar when it looked easier to score, Sam Wilson then got his third to make it 5-0 at half time. Second half saw the best goal of the game with Joe Wright sending a great cross field pass to the opposite wing and Mike Mcenery squaring a great ball for Chris Mason to fire a super shot past the , helpless keeper. Sam Wilson wrapped up the scoring with his forth goal. Despite the score Poppies played some good football, and their No 9 could have had a hatrick with better finishing. Ross Casey made a smart double save in the second half to keep the clean sheet, and with Luke Dempsey and Ben Stanbrook looking good at the back the lads got off to a brilliant start, Dominic Cope also had a thunderbolt shot very well saved by the keeper. Tim and Danny must be well pleased with this start, Warren Bentley came on as a second half sub but despite showing his undoubted class could not get on the score sheet. A great afternoons entertainment for a modest fee, come on down to watch City play this great passing football.
