City progressed to the 2nd qualifying round of the F.A.Cup at the Webbswood Stadium, Swindon on Saturday 11th September 2015 in a match that was tougher than the final score indicates. Some say the result cold have 4-4 others 10- 4 City!
It looked as if City were in trouble early in the game when 'keeper Brendon Norris had to dive at the feet of Marine's Ashley Edenborough to save a 'one to one' situation.
Warren Bentley sent them on their way in the 13th minute when he managed to get a touch to Zack Glasspool's shot to divert it past the 'keeper.
Early in the second half Jaimie Barron fired another goal home from the edge of the box after being set up by Glasspool and City where flying (48th minute).
Manager Paul Masters decided to consolidate and replaced Micky Hubbard with George Short and then Dan Cann for Glasspool.
City went three up when Bentley netted his second after good work by Cann in the 74th minute.
With time running out Matt Benham came on for Adam Roberts.
City scored their fourth near to time (85th minute), Cann smashing home a free kick.
Warren Bentley won the the press man of the match, but seasoned City watchers gave Norris the accolade for his best performance for Winchester todate.
